Meet The Team

Ashley and Lori have a lot in common, but their love for design is their strongest common denominator. Their work journey together began at Dayton-based design studio Luken Interiors. They quickly recognized similarities in each other’s approach to style and client relationships, as well as long-term business goals. In 2020, they launched their dreams into reality, forming Roseberry Allen Interior Design (Roseberry is Ashley’s maiden name and Allen is Lori’s). They each bring their own books of loyal clientele to the table, but under their new umbrella, they partner together to produce creative and efficient projects for new clients. Whether your project is led by Ashley or Lori, every design is influenced and balanced by the collective effort of both designers.

Ashley Powell

Allied A.S.I.D., D.S.I.D.

Born into a creative family, Ashley was constantly exposed to design in some capacity and always encouraged to take pride in the spaces we occupy. After graduating from Wittenberg University, she continued her studies in Interior Design at Sinclair Community College. Right out of school, she was fortunate enough to work at Luken Interiors, where she grew and learned the industry for 11 years. At the end of 2020, she and Lori decided to partner in their new adventure known as Roseberry Allen! (Fun fact: Roseberry is Ashley’s maiden name and Allen is Lori’s.) Throughout Ashley’s tenure thus far, she has successfully grown her clientele base and picked up several industry accolades along the way. Her work translates the classical principles of good design and decoration into elegant, enduring, and functional domestic landscapes. She works closely with her clients, bringing proportion, scale, and personality together creating original spaces that are perfectly tailored to her clients’ lifestyle.

What do you love most about design?

Client relationships are so important to me! The trust that we are granted from our amazing clients is a sacred thing. Equally, I love the process of diving into the details. But, my most favorite part of the design process is install day! To see your concept take shape is really quite a thrill!

Lori Wilke

Allied A.S.I.D., D.S.I.D.

Lori’s love for interior design started at a young age. From her grandmother, she learned to create a beautiful home through the arts of hosting, baking, gardening, and table setting.  Additionally, she learned from her aunt, an interior designer, who has incredible style and an unmatched attention to detail. Most importantly, she also learned from her mother, the most stylish 85 year-old and serial renovator and a natural at pulling together just the right color, good art, lighting, and proper scale. Lori graduated from Xavier University with a degree in marketing and later continued her education at Sinclair Community College in Interior Design. In 2016, she started working at Luken Interiors where she hit the ground running and continued to learn the project management and business sides of interior design. In January of 2020, Ashley Powell and Lori launched Roseberry Allen Interior Design, LLC. Lori believes that the best design project is a perfect combination of a trusting relationship, creativity, project management, collaboration, and fun…and she works hard to build those aspects into every project. She loves space planning and designing thoughtful interiors that make you feel right at home. Lori and her husband lives in Kettering Ohio and have 4 children.

What are three words that describe you?

Intuitive. Creative. Fun.

What do you love most about design?

I love everything about design!

Good design in fashion, interiors, art, landscaping, and food (table scape and presentation included) makes us all feel good. It transcends one particular style because it is aesthetically pIeasing. I have a tenacious desire to keep learning, weather the subject is architecture, food, gardening, art of fashion and travel…it can be applied to the world of design.

Angie Schimpf

Business Manager

Angie joined the team in early 2021, not long after the business incorporated. She comes to us with a strong background and previous career in finance and accounting. And, it didn’t take her long to start to learn the complex language of interior design. We run fast, and she kept up! As we continue to take our business to new heights, keeping our client and vendor files organized and up-to-date in this fast-paced industry is essential. Angie helps us manage all of these moving parts. Angie’s not only efficient, but more importantly, she’s a positive, energetic addition to our team: you’ll love running into her at the office.
